15th May 2026:

  • The Tx and Rx antennas were installed today, initial tests showed that the 70cm Rx antenna is working well – The Fairseat 70cm (GB3UHF) beacon is a good signal at the site.
  • The Tx antenna is showing a return loss of 30dB (that’s great!) and we could see the Martelsham 23cm beacon (GB3MHZ) on the spectrum analyser.
  • The gallery pages show some pictures of the site and antennas.
  • Next step is to install the repeater equipment. This is scheduled for Thursday 21st May. By close of play on Thursday we are targeting installing:
    • The repeater hardware and UPS
    • The repeater stream outputs and inputs operational
    • The 70cm Rx operational
    • If everything goes ahead of schedule we may get the 23cm (1304MHz) RF output operational, at Reduced Power, but this is not guaranteed.
  • The 23cm RF output is targeted for the last week of May.
