📡 GB3OO System Update
We’ve made a small but useful improvement to the way GB3OO logs callsigns. Previously, every transmission triggered a new entry in the QRZ logbook, which meant a busy operating session could generate a lot of duplicate entries for the same callsign.
We’ve now introduced a one-hour rolling window — so if the same callsign is seen more than once within an hour, only the first appearance is logged. Subsequent transmissions still trigger the SLACK activity notification as before, so we still see everything that’s happening on the repeater in real time. After an hour has elapsed, the callsign is logged fresh — so longer operating sessions are still properly captured. A small tweak, but it keeps the logbook clean and makes the data much more meaningful. As always, we’d love to see your signal through GB3OO — 437.000 MHz, DVB-S2, all welcome!
